Security measures
ID
For security purposes, every passenger must present some form of identification. In the case of adults this must be an official identification:
- Voting credential with photograph (IFE)
- National Military Service Card
- Valid passport
- Professional license
In the case of minors, they will be asked for a school ID and/or original birth certificate.

Documentation
Because of aeronautical security regulations, you must be present at least 2 hours prior to your flight departure. This is to allow the security revision of all checked luggage. We ask you not to close your suitcases with locks since they will be strapped after the security check.

Don’t bring liquids or gelss
We ask you not to carry liquids or gels of any size with you or in your carry–on bags beyond the checkpoint. These may only be transported in checked baggage.

Prohibited articles
It is prohibited to transport as luggage the following:
- Items or objects that are considered by the airline as improperly packaged
- Items or objects that are considered by the airline as possibly dangerous to the airplane, its crew or other passengers
- Flammable liquids and/or gases (gasoline, paints, gas charges)
- Explosives (ammunition, fireworks, flares)
- Industrial products or domestic items (bleaches, spray cans, mercury and other solvents)
- Matches/lighters
- Materials that are corrosive (acids, humid batteries, etc.), irritants, magnetized items, oxidants (such as peroxide) or radioactive materials
- Briefcases or boxes that have an alarm mechanism installed
- Poisons
- Oxygen
- Fragile items or objects, perishables, money, jewelry, precious metals, computers, televisions or other objects of value
If you transport these items without proper authorization or without declaring them to ALMA DE MEXICO, ALMA DE MEXICO exempts itself from any and all related responsibility in the matter.

Proof of travel (Invoice)
Your paid itinerary, your boarding pass stubs and your receipts are valid documents for fiscal proof. You may:
- Receive your itinerary by e-mail at the time of your online reservation or through our Call Center.
- Access and reprint your online itinerary here.
- Print your receipt when you use our Web Check-In.
- Request your receipt or itinerary at the ALMA DE MEXICO check-in counters or sales offices.
These documents do not need to be issued in the name of a particular company or with fiscal information (RFC). The Ley de Hacienda in its regulation of the ISR (article 49) states that as long as the company holds a verifiable working relation with whoever travels, it may deduct the transportation services.
These documents are valid and guaranteed by the Secretaria de Hacienda y Credito Publico (SHCP) and the Secretaria de Transporte (SCT) under the effective legislation emitted in the Diario Oficial de la Federacion.
The documents issued by ALMA DE MEXICO are founded in the rules 2.4.6 of the fiscal miscellaneous effective for 2007, published in the Diario Oficial de la Federacion (DOF), and furthermore in the Ley de Aviacion Civil regulation issued by the SCT, where the minimum requirements for these to be valid invoices are established. ALMA DE MEXICO meets these requirements with integrity.

Flight delays
If a flight is delayed and you are arriving at the airport, ALMA DE MEXICO will make an effort to communicate with you every 15 minutes to provide the status of the flight with the most recent and reliable information at the time. This process will remain the same for 2 hours maximum.
If the delay is longer than 2 hours and is caused by ALMA DE MEXICO, we will do our best to offer you food and/or beverages to make the wait as comfortable as possible. The process of communication will be every 15 minutes so that we can keep you informed about your flight.
If you are on board the plane when the delay happens, it is not our intention to keep passengers waiting for long times aboard the plane. In this case, we will do our best possible to minimize the inconvenience.
If we are aware of the estimated duration of the delay, we will stop initial boarding for the time required, instead of leaving you waiting on board.

Flight cancellations
In case of flight cancellations due to factors within the control of ALMA DE MEXICO, we will make our best possible effort to accommodate you on the next flight available.
If for any reason the above is not possible and this means you have to stay overnight, ALMA DE MEXICO will make the necessary arrangements to provide a hotel reservation, food and transportation from and to the airport for your next flight departure.
We acknowledge that situations with delays or cancellations caused by ALMA DE MEXICO create a stressful situation for our travelers. We want you to know that our priority will always be to accommodate you on your trip as soon as possible.

Missed flight (No-show)
Any passenger that for some reason is unable to board his flight at the time and date specified on his/her itinerary is considered a "no-show". We make the best effort to make this itinerary known to you in advance, so that we can avoid a "no-show".
In the case that you miss your flight, your payment will not be refundable. However, after a no-show charge has been applied, the remaining balance will be returned in an electronic credit in your favor. The no-show is claimable within 15 natural days after your flight. We recommend you review the effective policies for the use of the electronic credit.
